The Black Lives Matter movement has stalled out in the past due to the amount of violence that the group has inspired. In 2016 this culminated in the Dallas Police Shooting, in which 14 people were shot and 5 Police Officers were murdered by Micah Johnson. People seem to have forgotten the lessons that should have been learned 4 years ago and thus we are repeating our mistakes in 2020. Also, I do not believe that it is a coincidence that the group called Black Lives Matter seems to reemerge during every presidential election year. The group seeks to capitalize on the politically charged atmosphere and further the divisions which already exist both racially and politically, in the west. This is dangerous, as it feeds off of fear and anger, and the mainstream media seems quite content to further the false narratives of the group as well, since they make money off of the increased viewership that shootings, riots, and civil unrest causes. Simply put, someone has to STOP this cycle. God bless you all.
