I spend some time test riding the Harley Davidson Street Glide ST, which offers a premium one-up touring option, complete with luggage and media system for those who want all the berries, particularly that Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine.

The Street Glide ST is available from just under $45k here in Australia or $30k in the US, with an easy going nature, if a little more top heavy due to the batwing fairing, which offers good protection from the elements.

Cruise control is standard fitment, shocks preload adjustable and hard luggage easily removable, but mounted over a fairly hefty mount system.

Plentiful performance and torque from the 117 is matched to four-pot calipers and a powerful braking system, but with over 360 kg to bring to a half, the bike's momentum is noticeable.
