Revelation 18:2: “And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”

“unclean and hateful bird”... ‘Bird’ in this context is referring to unrighteousness spirits.
Would make sense and would give more explanation on the tattoos of birds I have seen on people.
“Free bird”...is that where this expression comes from?

Why would it mention ‘hateful’ if it was referring to birds as in fowls in same paragraph where it describes those that have become full of darkness? He has to be alluding to spirits given the context.
