G. E. Kincaid was hired by the Smithsonian Institution to investigate the Grand Canyon in 1908 and allegedly found evidence of ancient Egyptians. He sent artifacts and photos back to Washington DC, but as usual none of it can be found. Caves or tunnels there are now off limits. According to his own personal journal he came upon a crypt full of mummies, each with their own personal shelf.
