It's a shame my hopes and expectations of camera planet hunting with this Sigma lens didn't work out but it just didn't produce the clearer and crisper images of the planets like I had hoped, besides being too heavy for me. I do push the limits with a camera and realize you can't get telescope quality by doing this, but it's a fun challenge to try.
This Sigma lens is extremely nice and well made too. I would recommend it even though it's a bit too much for this old gal to handle.
The Moon was 53% lit in the cloudy SW sky, then Jupiter and later Saturn in the South.
