I had added two new batteries to my solar system to extend my ability to power my fridge during overcast weather periods. Winter is a struggle for any solar system even in the sunny desert. When its a really bad winter it's even more difficult. If I wake in the morning and my batteries are registering 12.0 or even 11.9 I have a struggling system. I like to wake and see 12.4 - 12.5 volts. That tells me the batteries are healthy and can bounce back to a 14.7 "Boost" mode quickly in 3-4 hours.
