al-Malik, al-Hajjaj and the Creation of the Quran

They are credited with producing an official version of the Quran that is believed to have consolidated various independent collections into a new canonical version.
There are reports suggesting that al-Malik presented this standardized version of the Quran as if it were the work of Uthman, an early caliph.
The text indicates that there was no unanimity in the early Islamic tradition about Uthman's role in collecting the Quran, despite modern scholarly assertions.
Instead, the narrative suggests that al-Malik and al-Hajjaj were more instrumental in the consolidation and standardization of the Quranic text.
Their actions in composing the Quran are described as substantial and involved significant alterations to the text.
The tradition of an Uthmanic collection is questioned, with evidence pointing towards al-Malik and al-Hajjaj as the key figures in establishing the official version of the Quran that we know today.
