At The Movies: 11-1-09 (Version #2)
Note: Version #2 with intro. (Kind of a Salty and Cruel comment from Mr. Scott here in the intro) This will be a bit long controversial tyrant here in the description, so bear with me!
Michael Phillips and A.O. Scott reviews "Michael Jackson's This is It" (A Rehearsal Documentary Musical film that was supposed to be a farewell concert to the legendary King of Pop had ended tragically since his death on June 25 that year and it was a horrible time, too! I've emotionally cried and left angry at that time because MJ was a sensational talented and skillful music artist of many generations! I love his music, his signature moonwalk dance and all! And I hate all the bad publicity, conviction and exposed lies the media is shoving down our throats! No thanks to HBO, Oprah Winfrey and those two diabolical sociopath con artists known as Wade Robson and James Safechuck (What stupid names!) who made "Leaving Neverland" that eventually got some rave reviews because of pedophilia and other blatantly false stories! It just proves the point in Michael Jackson's song, "Leave Me Alone" on why idiotic, shallow clowns like these folks are ruining and butchering his life, family and all the truer fans! They must have been "Timberlake", "Spears" and other following untalented pop stars out there who thinks they're better than him! Totally delusional morons! I really miss MJ and I hope these idiots deserve their karma for lies! Sorry, not sorry! Rant over!), "Gentlemen Broncos", "Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" By Sapphire" (Powerful Drama produced by Tyler Perry, again Oprah Winfrey and Lee Daniels who directed the film with Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'Nique Along with Paula Patton, Mariah Carey, Sherri Shepherd, and Lenny Kravitz. Even this film had some controversial ties especially the film's theatrical distribution rights between The Weinstein Company and Lionsgate (They won the battle and ironically purchased the "TWC" library). "The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day" (A religious vigilante non-stop Action Film became a cult favorite ever since its video release from a limited theatrical exhibition in 2000. Suddenly had a sequel from writer & director, Troy Duffy. Starring: Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus.) and "The Maid".
Top Ten of the Decade: Continuing with the Top Ten Films of the 2000s. Phillips picks his #9 film, "Gosford Park" and Scott picks his #9 film, "25th Hour".
and Three to See: Scott's pick are "The Maid", "The Damned United" and "Michael Jackson's This is it!"
Recorded on KABC ABC 7 in Los Angeles with Commercials. Blending with my recording and the video as found at "UCLA Library NewsScape" website.
