They have always tried to form the ultimate Super Power World Government "Holy Roman Empire" through intermarriage within the ruling class bloodlines of Europe but they have never been able to. God's history in advance "prophecy" tells us they would be an Empire of Divided Kingdoms/Nations... The Iron definitely is of course Rome... The Clay and 10 toes I believe it to represent the 10 Kingdoms/Nations where the 10 Lost Tribes of the House of Israel went to. Israel is considered gentiles/nations for they were scattered abroad before Judah was. When Jesus walked the land of Judah there was no Nation of Israel/Northern Kingdom they were dispersed by Assyria under God's judgment (Matt. 15:24, 1 Peter 1:1-2)
Going to the Gentiles to preach the Gospel means going to the Naions which means going to the 10 Lost Tribes Sheep of Israel... Now 10 toes/tribes representing Israel/Nations where they became Christianity/Israel/Clay and Rome/Iron mixed... Holy Roman Empire/Christianity in Apostasy
