Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, plead guilty this morning to lying to the Senate Intelligence Committee apparently concerning when he shut down a real estate option for candidate Trump.
As Trump’s personal attorney, Cohen apparently told the committee that he had no more discussions about a proposal being brokered by a Russian-born, New York real estate developer by the name of Felix Sater, after January 2016. This morning, he admitted that the last time he talked to Sater was actually in June of 2016.
The proposal - which was in the form of a real estate option - was to build a Trump Tower in Moscow – something which was first proposed before Trump had decided to run for president.
As the President explained this morning on the way to the G-7 meeting in Argentina:
