● What if the value of an airdropped token has value at time of receipt but eventually goes to zero, before you sell it. You still owe taxes on all the moments where you received it when it did have value. This could be frequently, like every single day triggering a tax event. This increases my risk. This also negates my 0% capital gains in Puerto Rico because it’s no longer a capital gain— it’s a “dividend” and taxed at time of receipt instead of taxed at the time of sale. This is more of an issue in a PoS system, because all participants of the system may need to stake in order to keep up with the inflation. Bitcoin miners still have this issue.
