Armed forces of Ukraine began to use British Mastiff armored vehicles
A column of light vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with armored vehicles YPR-765 and BMP-2 was removed on the border of the Kherson and Nikolaev regions.
🔹 To be precise, the Mastiff is the British version of the American MRAP Cougar 6×6 armored vehicles. The UK has been producing them since 2006.
🔹 They are intended for transporting personnel with good protection against mines, which is provided by a reinforced V-shaped bottom.
🔹The design allows armored vehicles to withstand an explosion of up to 13.5 kg of TNT, and their armament is machine guns or automatic grenade launchers.
🔹Characteristics: 12 troops + 2 crew; maximum speed up to 58 km/h; weight almost 16 tons, carrying weight up to 2 tons.
Great Britain actively used vehicles in Iraq and Afghanistan, which made it possible to reduce the number of losses from enemy fire, registering itself well.
