Two English Idylls for orchestra by George Butterworth

In 1911 British composer George Butterworth completed this pair of Idylls for orchestra based on a collection of English folk songs. The first Idyll includes the songs ‘Dabbling in the dew’, ‘Just as the tide was flowing’ and ‘Henry Martin’. The second Idyll is based on the song ‘The dark-eyed sailor’.
