One of the few times Fauci has stated the truth.
Masks are intended primarily to prevent fluids from getting on the person wearing them while performing surgery or medical procedures. And should the person sneeze, it prevents droplets from going from the wearer outward. The meshwork of the fabric isn't small enough to prevent a virus from entering.
Furthermore, in surgery, which I had been part of for over 10 years, you change your masks after every surgery for a reason. Yet, people wear the same mask day after day, handling them which degrades the fabric even more. Thus, the already ineffectiveness is made that much more ineffective.
Then you have a sterile technique after that. It is incredibly easy to break sterile techniques when operating. You always have to be aware of what you are touching and where your hands are. So the notion that people are going to hand sanitize themselves into sterility is an absolute absurdity. Every single thing you touch is not sterile after you hand sanitize.
To pile on more stupidity to the "rules" all the people are made to follow is the 6 feet distance and when people wore their masks while walking to their table and then take them off. It's as if a virus doesn't have the ability to travel below 4 feet and can only get you when standing.
This is where we are at as a society. Everything is blamed on the rona. But where did the regular season flu go? People died every year of that. But now, that's not even a diagnosis anymore. So yes, there really is nothing different between this and the regular flu, except the propaganda. Rather than strengthening the immune system against everyday pathogens, people prefer to live in a state of fear which actually weakens the immune system.
