My first RC Car what to buy?
Hi everybody this time we have a chat about radio controlled cars and help you make the important decision of what car should you buy if you are a newcomer to the world of radio controlled vehicles.
Here are the three vehicles we are looking at
Car 1 - UDI RC Rally Car
1/16 Full proportion high-performance 4WD racing car, integrated ESP (Electronic Stability Program) , effectively correct yaw, easier to control. It embodies the high level of creativity in design and engineering that unleashed a stunning array of new technology, new innovation.
4CH 2.4GHz integrated receiver and electronic speed control (ESC)
Waterproof, dustproof design ESP (Electronic Stability Program) Low voltage cut-off and thermal overload protection, brake, BEC, LVC sensitivity, reverse speed, and motor timing settings.
Car 2 - FTX Carnage
Get ready for some serious off road truggy action with the Brushless Edition FTX Carnage. Taking backyard bashing to a new level, the Carnage Brushless boasts some amazing features for the ultimate ‘Ready-to-Run’ experience.
Etronix provide crystal free 2.4ghz control. In addition the Etronix Photon 2.1 waterproof sensorless brushless system is installed to provide some low maintenance, high performance speed and power.
Instead of using a NiMh battery, FTX decided to include a Voltz hardcase LiPo battery to get the very best from the Photon system, but with safety in mind included is a balance charger and LiPo charge sack. Infact all you need to add is AA batteries for the transmitter.
The 4wd shaft drivetrain features metal diff gears and front universal driveshafts, while an integrated slipper helps protect the drive from possible damage. With adjustable turn- buckles all round and large bore oil filled shock absorbers the Carnage is raring to go.
In addition if you want to tune and upgrade your Carnage, FTX provide a wide range of car- bon and aluminium upgrades that will bring your ride up to a whole new pro level.
Car 3 - Hi-Rock edition from FTX
The evolution of the Outback trail chassis hits new heights with the new Hi-Rock edition from FTX. As trail and crawler fans continue to crave both scale performance and scale looks, we have looked to address both with the Hi-Rock.
Featuring a new split transmission, the motor is now mounted directly above the front axle alongside the steering servo providing extra weight up front for better traction when climbing ascents. The steering angle has been increased to a 45° angle for further improved trail maneuverability. An adjustable drivetrain slipper can be set to protect the transmission and driveshafts in the event of a lock up, while internal axle and gearbox metal gears provide long term durability.
The split transmission layout provides a much lower centre section allowing for aftermarket interiors to be mounted for added scale realism. The moulded side chassis plates have aluminium plates on the exterior while the inner plates provide protection from the elements as well as mounting receiver and Hobbywing speed control. The moulded receiver box features additional plug in ports for LED lights and aftermarket winches.
The classic pick-up inspired bodyshell comes complete with moulded accessories such as front grill & LED light buckets, snorkel, mirrors, wipers, roll bar cage and spotlights (for optional LED’s). Front and rear bumpers feature mounted LED lights and tow hooks to top off that scale look.
