Vietnam War: Marines Battle For Hue City In the Tet Offensive.
Raw Vietnam War footage shows Marines of Hotel Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 3rd Division as they attempt to take the Hue City Provisional Headquarters on February 6, 1968 as part of the Tet Offensive.
The Tet Offensive battle for Hue was uniquely nightmarish in that almost all other fighting done in the Vietnam War was restricted to isolated rural jungle areas and rice paddy villages. The Marines were not trained or experienced in urban warfare and were forced to develop operational procedures during battle in a high stakes game of trial and error.
