Heimdall Level 1 No Upgrades All 9 Burdens & Starter Gear No Checkpoints, Relic or Rage NG+ GMGOW+

When you don't upgrade weapons you miss out on the stats the upgrade gives but more importantly you lose out on skills. That means my Axe and Blades only have level one skills. The Spear starts at level 5 when you get it so I only have the level 5 skills for it. Since I'm using only the starter gear I'm using the Survival set and the Guardian Shield which is level 4 when you get it back from the Dwarfs.

This fight is truly brutal when doing it with no checkpoints as a level 1. The long non skippable cutscenes just kill my momentum. Its also the kind of fight that makes it easy to make tiny mistakes but as a level 1 with all the Burdens you just cant make those mistakes. On the positive side I did find a really good method for the first phase fighting Heimdall. Using the Spear wisely can make that phase much easier. It doesn't work in the second phase but it was still a very good method for helping me get it done with no checkpoints.

In this fight I used all 9 Burdens and all the starter gear. I did this fight again with all 9 Burdens and all the Spartan gear including the Aspis shield. I think I am going to do that for most fights. You can go a lot harder with the starter gear because of the Guardian shield being a easier to use shield.
