Clip from Church with Jesse Lee Peterson, Sunday, September 12, 2021: Jesse describes growing up going to church once or twice a month. No man had another man as his leader in those days. Later, people blamed Jim Jones as a "cult leader" for his followers drinking the Kool-Aid. Some who get angry at Jesse accuse him of the same thing. Yet Jesse tells people to know for themselves, and not have leaders.

Jesse then describes his experience being born again. As an "experiment," he has Joel come onto the stage to show how he thought a false identity was his own. God showed him a glimpse of a dark spirit within him. Only after watching the thoughts did God separate him from his thoughts and feelings, so he was no longer one with them.

Finally, Jesse talks about love and overcoming the vices. Often, Christians focus on the vices, thinking that's the sin, but only after overcoming sin can you then be free to overcome the vices.
