This album "Das Innere Ich" by the German Dark Wave / Electro / Industrial band "Das Ich" is actually a very obscure release from 1996. It's a soundtrack to a movie that I have never found anywhere: "Das ewige Licht". I found a film with this name via web search, but it doesn't have this music as a soundtrack. So it's probably the wrong one.

Bottom line: I don't know anything about the film, but the soundtrack is excellent. One could best describe it as Dark Ambient "Das Ich"-style, with all the edges and twists one knows from this band.

So it's not an entirely smooth and comfortable easy listening experience, but a partially very weird sounding, ultra dark piece of music.

This CD contains eight tracks, however I cut the last one out ("Bin ich es denn"), because that one is a typical "Das Ich"-song that obviously is a bonus track. And a very good one at that, but it really doesn't fit the rest of the album.
