Note that Ted Weems made more than one recording of this song, including the date above as well as 1941 and 1947, the latter being his last year of touring. This one was dated in 1929, although the instrumentation and vocal styles have me a little suspicious that it might be a '40s release. Update: This version (Mx. BVE-55067-2) was recorded on 6/28/1929 in Camden, NJ and released on 8/29/29 on the Victor label in the US and His Master's Voice in Australia. And the song on side B of the disc was "Here We Are" (Mx. 55066-3).
Wilfred Theodore Wemyes, known professionally as Ted Weems (September 26, 1901, Pitcairn, PA – May 6, 1963, Tulsa, OK), was an American bandleader and musician. Weems' work in music was recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. ... His son Ted Jr. led a revival band at times during the 1960s and 1970s. - Infagalactic
