Runes and Esoteric symbols are distorted to be symbols of Post Enlightenment and New Age Religions but there are artifacts from hundreds of years ago found in Gothic churches, Byzantium, Constantinople, Palestine, Syria, Greece and the entire ancient world that show these symbols have Church origins instead of Pagan Origins.
I found and studied the opposite of what is pushed into mainstream national socialism and the sources are from the third reich (One source being: The Meaning Of The Swastika, 1933) and then (The Seventh Volume of SS Culture) which is not published or cited by neo pagans (i wonder why).
Our symbols are being stolen and are morphed into the origins of the fallen angels. Life runes are projected to be from ancient Norse religions when they are also in Slavic churches with Christ on them, at the same era.
The Sonnerad (another stolen symbol) actually represents the Trinity and the commandments which construct a sun of thirteen pillars (sigs). The thirteenth one being in the very center. Yet this is projected to be a symbol of Wotan/Odin (there are no symbols of this kind that are found by ancient depictions of Wotan/Odin)
Christianity didn't steal pagan symbols and neither is it accurate that Pagans stole Christian symbols. Pagan God's are fallen angels from heaven (demons) which throughout the Bible in Acts, Exodus, Deuteronmy, Psalms and several other books in the Bible and even the book of Enoch mention several times to exist. Of course they are not recognized as actual gods. Rather they're referred to that in a sarcastic manner (the same way the Romans sarcastically referred to Jesus as a Pharisee).
Pagans tend to not acknowledge Christianity or any other religion but other religions acknowledge similar biblical stories of the fallen angels. From the Vedas, The Bhagavad Gita & The Shu Jing. They tell the same stories of inner earth. Atlantis, the giants and of course the fallen angels. But according to post enlightenment aesthetic atheists (the general thesis of neo paganism) acknowledging these stories is a degradation of European society. But insist on adopting and distorting (not theft) symbols and references to Christ
