About Bishop Williamson: During an interview in Germany with Swedish SVT television, which was recorded in November 2008, and broadcast January 21, 2009, Roman Catholic Bishop Richard N. Williamson of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) stated:"I believe that the historical evidence is strongly against, is hugely against six million Jews having been deliberately gassed in gas chambers as a deliberate policy of Adolf Hitler. I think that 200,000 to 300,000 Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps, but none of them in gas chambers."
His statement created an international sensation. Williamson has said that he was inspired to make his statement in part based on the findings of The Leutcher Report.
On February 4, 2009, the Vatican Secretariat of State decreed that Bishop Williamson would have to recant his revisionist views before he would be permitted to exercise his Episcopal office. Williamson has refused to retract his doubts.His Superior, Bishop Bernard Fellay, removed him as seminary rector in Argentina and placed him under a gag order.He was then deported from Argentina to his native England.For telling the Truth.
