Why are we living in this world?

This is a question that I’ve asked myself for many decades. In the past three days, battling alone with severe pain and fever, this question came to me several times during my anguish. There were times I felt so weak and fatigued, that I thought my time was coming, while I was calling on Jesus Christ in prayers for understanding and mercy.
