Silicon Valley Bank funds were seized by the FDIC yesterday. Could all this have been prevented if we were on the CBDC system? (Central Bank Digital Currency) Were there any historic precedents for Silicon Valley Bank? Did you know that when Cyprus had their big run a few years ago, that the depositors were bailed in! They all lost 40% of their funds AND they could not access any currency for several days. When they went to ATM's nothing happened! However, those who went to Bitcoin ATMs were able to get their local currency.
USDC took a big hit yesterday as they had several million dollars tied up i cash in Silicon Valley Bank. This "Stable coin" fell 10% with USDC's investor fleeing to USDT and BUSD.
