Single parent house hold, time and again it is proven that this is a bad thing. Not something we should aspire to reach, no rather the oposite, we need to try and make our society recognize the intrensic value of a wholesome family life.And still we are being bombarded with images and messages on how mothers are great caregivers and they can do it all by themselves. First of, I am not here to contest that mothers are great caregivers, I can easily say that on average this is true. But no, they cannot do it all by themselves. We have seen time and again that this is not the case. If at all preventable, we should not let people think that the single parent household is a good thing, Especially not if it is done by choice.
