RT again - this time on G20 summit and India
G20 has a rotating leader. India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds the chair right now. G20 just completed the annual meeting of its finance ministries in the Indian city of Bangaluru (Bengalore).
In this abreviated clip, German chancellor Scholz is seen openign his talks about global financial problems by first blaming Russia for it. There is a saying in my mother tongue, bengali - যত দোষ নন্দ ঘোষ, meaning whatever is wrong, it is Nanda Ghosh's (i.e. Russia's fault).
India's rising economic and geopolitical clout makes it increasingly important for the west to coax India to join the west in opposing Russia, and its steadfast neutrality and refusing to sanction Russia has gotten to be a major irritant to the west. A number of bigwigs have been and are being sent to India in an unending stream, to coax, cajole, intimidate and even threaten India to back off from Russia and join the west.
Of past, this might have been enough to force a change of course in India so in tilts over to the west, even at its own national disadvantage. Even five years ago, India behaved more vulnerable to western pressure adn took many steps that can be construed as pro-western and against its own national interest.
But, India is evolving. As its economy and statue gains elevation, its geopolitical outlook and adherence to its age-old non-alignment, is becoming an idea which India is beginning to project more forcefully, which appears on the surface to be more pro-Russian. Actually, the BRICS+ grouping is one of the fastest growing geopolitical alignment on earth today, covering over 80% of the world population, where India works closely with Russia and China to bring in a new system of governance for the planet, which is outside of the US hegemoney. USA and the west is allowed to apply for joinging up, but has so far declined to do so.
A clear divide is coming up, and the non-aligned, or the non-hegemonic, or the non-petrodollar, or simply the non-west alliance today appears to be the new kid in the block that is able to outgrow the western hegemonic system, and India is deeply into it and are beginning to say so.
