PCAP (Packet Capture) is the extension on the end of a file (examples: .xls .html) recording of the conversation between two devices in the digital space. PCAP's have to be in the right order. It is used to see if a network is configured correctly. It is basic and common in the digital world. In Arizona, the routers which have been subpoenaed & NOT handed over by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, what should these routers reveal? The routers read what is on the header and then directs & documents the routing path. So if a PCAP is going from California to Georgia, the California router knows to hand it off to say a Colorado router, who will then forward it eastward (like the Pony Express). A router doesn't care what is inside the PCAP, it just reads the header. A router will document the IP addresses. IP information reads bottom up (like an address on an envelope: Zip code, street address, name).
Spoofing is using a fake return address (just like mail) but a forensic analysis can decode it.
Professor Clements: What expectations can we have from the Cyber Symposium?
Lady Draza (summary): When you actually do in-depth forensics, you can establish the providence. 37 Tb is huge, so there have to be consistencies in place. They would have to have a rational time sequence, defining the normal communication. It's a massive amount of data to do a forensic evaluation on. Spoofing would be expected to be present if they were committing a crime/fraud. Spoofing can be detected, with enough analysis. But again, 37Tb is massive.
Remember, it is ILLEGAL to have the elections connected to the internet! That is enough to establish fraud.
The beauty of the Cyber Symposium will be the educating on what a forensic audit should include, networking... and yes some, who will be trying to win the $5,000,000 challenge for debunking Lindell's evidence.
