Testing the Shock Therapy Maverick R at Geiser Loop

One last test run in the Shock Therapy Can-Am Maverick R around the Geiser Loop in Comfort shock mode reaching speeds of 75MPH. The Shock Therapy Spring Kit and Ride-Improvement System (valving + internal bypass tube) is ready for prime-time.

Shock Therapy spent countless hours fine-tuning this package, because the Maverick R deserves it. Right out of the box, the Maverick R handles the desert very well for most drivers. Once you put an aggressive driver behind the wheel, the shocks needed some tweaks. Same goes for the dunes - on g-outs, you can blow through the shock stroke and hit the bump stage fairly easy with an aggressive driver behind the wheel.

Shock Therapy found that while improvements could be made with valving shims alone, the way to properly complete the package required changes to the internal bypass tubes so shock speeds could be slowed down before reaching the bump stage. Without changes to the internal bypass tubes, cavitation is a real concern when you over-valve to compensate. This complete package with valving and internal bypass tubes took a bit longer and costs a little more, but the results will speak for themselves.
