Pope Pius IX Did Not Teach Salvation Outside the Church
"Baptism of desire" & the related modern theory of "invincible ignorance" is incompatible with Catholic dogma, the Bible & the words of Our Lord Himself. When Pius IX mentioned the "invincibly ignorant", he didn't say people could be saved without Christ or the Church: this video thoroughly proves that. Twisting the words of various Popes, saints & scriptures m to imply salvation can be found in false religions is against the Catholic faith. Anyone who believes those "invincibly ignorant" of Christ can be saved without knowing and accepting Christ as Savior is absolutely on the road to Hell and does not believe in the necessity of Christ for salvation.
For if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sin. - John 8:24
Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, “Cantate Domino,” 1441, ex cathedra:
“The Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that all those who are outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans but also Jews or heretics and schismatics, cannot share in eternal life and will go into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless they are joined to the Church before the end of their lives... Pope St Siricius Rejected "Baptism of Desire"

There is only 1 kind of baptism according to the teachings of the Catholic Church & the Bible: water baptism. "Baptism of desire" is not a sacrament - it's just a lie that attempts to render dogmatic pronouncements, the commandments of the Bible & the words of Jesus Christ Himself as if they are optional. Here are the dogmas that are incompatible with "baptism of desire" & "baptism of blood":
Pope Eugene IV, The Council of Florence, “Exultate Deo,” Nov. 22, 1439, ex cathedra: “Holy baptism, which is the gateway to the spiritual life, holds the first place among all the sacraments; through it we are made members of Christ and of the body of the Church. And since death entered the universe through the first man, ‘unless we are born again of water and the Spirit, we cannot,’ as the Truth says, ‘enter into the kingdom of heaven’ [John 3:5]. The matter of this sacrament is REAL AND NATURAL WATER.”
Pope Clement V, Council of Vienne, 1311-1312: "In addition to this, one sole baptism regenerating all who are baptized in Christ must, just like one God and one sole faith [Eph. 4:5], be faithfully confessed by all; which, CELEBRATED IN WATER in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we believe to be the perfect remedy unto salvation for both adults and children alike."
Council of Trent, Sess. 7, Canon 2 on the Sacrament of Baptism:
"If anyone shall say that REAL and NATURAL WATER is not necessary for baptism, and on that account should distort those words of Our Lord Jesus Christ: 'Unless a man is born again of WATER and the Holy Spirit' [John 3:5] into some metaphor: let him be anathema."
The Bible also refutes "baptism of desire" & "baptism of blood":
"But as many as received him, he gave them power to be made the sons of God, to them that believe in his name. Who are born, NOT OF BLOOD, nor of the will of the flesh, NOR OF THE WILL OF MAN, but of God." - John 1:12-13
"... unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:5
Anyone claiming to be Catholic yet believes in "baptism of desire" is 100% not a Catholic. No salvation outside the Catholic Church (infallible dogma) is incompatible with the fake revolutionary fantasy of BOD. To believe in the heresy is to believe people can be saved in false religions.
They (anti-baptism heretics) call Our Lord a liar when the heretics claim baptism is also "of desire" or "of blood", inevitably believing - in their own self-deceit - as if the Catholic faith is optional. Our Lord said water is required, & He did not mention "desire" or "blood" in John 3:5. Also, sacred scripture states "One Lord, one faith, one baptism." (Ephesians 4:5), not multiple baptisms, not multiple faiths where people can be saved, but One faith: that faith is the Catholic Faith, which requires water baptism.
