It was a disaster from the very beginning. And any military expert who isn't paid by the media or stupid knows it's an uphill battle. Even if NATO throws everything it can into battle except its soldiers, this is a losing proposition for Ukraine.
There is no way they can win, and this, unfortunately, is obvious to the Ukrainians. And now they are operating in offensive versus defensive mode, and they are being ground down. And there are not enough of them to be ground. This is what you get when you have such an imbalance between the balance of power. On the one hand, you have one of the most powerful industrial bases in the world. You have a strategic depth that the Nazis could not even penetrate. One of the best armies on earth. On the other hand, you have stamina and stubbornness. And you are trying to break Russia not with the help of the Wehrmacht, not with the help of the German military machine, you are trying to break it with the help of NATO backed Ukraine, without any real fundamental support on the battlefield in the form of soldiers, aircraft in the air, ships in the sea and etc.
They will lose, and this, in my opinion, is the whole tragedy. As a military professional, it is quite clear to me that they will lose, and yet we support them to the last dead Ukrainian. We're staying there because we're making fortunes, in particular, Lockheed Martin makes big money, Raytheon makes big money. There are other people who make money from this in other ways. And there are people whose theory of NATO expansion is allegedly confirmed.
