Dave Clemo & Friends- Don't Think Twice

This is another track from The August Sessions. Back in August 2015 I roped together a group of musician friends and spent a day and an evening recording and filming a bunch of songs. The tracks were recorded by my son Chris on our mobile PC based recording system using Cubase software. We used a couple of fixed and hand held cameras.
The venue was Rachel Chadwick’s bookshop and small concert venue Not Just Words that had recently opened in The Yards in Kettering. We played each song twice. The first time was to sort out the arrangement and check the settings on the recorder and the second time was recorded and filmed. The track is exactly as recorded with no edits or overdubs. Looking back I wish I could have had a cough and cleared my throat after a couple of verses but-hey ho!
I invited Vince and Rai from my band; Steve Baigent (RIP) was a regular at our Sunday sessions at The Dukes in Woodford; Keith Nickless came over from Leamington with his double bass and Corby’s Joe McIlvenny added his virtuoso banjo playing to the mix. Everyone enjoyed the experience. It was a one-off day to remember.
I mixed the audio in our home studio and edited the video footage using Sony Vegas software.
