Welcome to the first episode of Sensing the Universe where we examine spacecraft sensors in detail.
In this episode we look at the inner workings of the Energetic Particle Spectrometer(EPS). A sensor that's designed to capture the structure of a magnetic field around a planet. We're looking at the EPS that was onboard the Messenger spacecraft.
