Here is the Dark Green Zucchini, Cucurbita pepo. This is a classic type of zucchini and a very good producer. As you can see in the video they can get absolutely enormous. This bush early type zucchini can make very large plants and need a lot of room to grow. We found them to produce as many as a dozen fruits on one plant! It is best to pick them at about 8 inches long for fresh eating or you can let them grow full length and are great for frying and soups.
