I would add to that by saying that they don't understand SATIRE or POETRY either. They can't deal with it, because it's sophisticated and they don't know how to respond. or react to humour, satire or poetry - it's too abstract a thought process for them. Hence the reason they are so keen on AI, robots and transhumanism.
