Merrie Melodies - Bye, Bye Bluebeard (1949)

Bye, Bye Bluebeard is a Warner Brothers cartoon in the Merrie Melodies series released on October 21, 1949 and directed by Arthur Davis. It stars Porky Pig. The title is a play on the song "Bye Bye Blackbird".
After this short, Art Davis' unit was disbanded. Davis remained at Warner Bros. as an animator in Friz Freleng's' unit, and he directed one more film in the 1960s. Most of the animators from this unit went over to Disney.

Bluebeard goes through Porky's medicine cabinet in a hurry, giving us a peek at some interesting bottles. Many of the labels have the names of people: "Frizby" (Friz Freleng), (Mike) "Maltese Minestrone," "Ted Pierce's Medicine," (Warren) "Foster," "Vinnie," "Lydia Hokum" (Lydia Pinkham) and (Chuck) "Jones Laxative." There are also things like "Castor Erl," "Little Liver Pills," "Alky Haul" and "Dork Acid."
