In this clip Jack discusses how the Chinese Communist Party were able to create a new type of economic system that used globalization to appease its citizens while retaining authoritarian control of the Chinese economy. This globalization also created the rust belt in America and has caused a rise in populism that is now raising its ugly head. Jack explains how issues like economic opportunities and vaccine mandates are causing groups like Black Lives Matter and MAGA supporters to find common ground. This is evidenced in both groups holding a vaccine mandate protest in NYC on the same weekend.
