We're back in the saddle without even skipping a beat. Things are hot and heavy in America, as always, especially with people becoming increasingly emotional and reactive. Society continues to beat the drum of collectivism as while growing swaths of people become enraged at the wrong target. World leaders are meeting at The World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and we're busy arguing about 'The Smirk' during our longest government shutdown ever.

The French citizens have their own version of trailblazing as they go into "Act XI", their eleventh week of protesting. Yes, as America was supposed to have our own version of populist uprisings, unifying the people over a common adversary, instead we've opted into furthering the divide within our country. I think now more than ever, unity is something our country needs to exemplify to the world, because our obvious manipulation is tearing us apart.

2019 is shaping up to be quite an interesting year, already. We're talking about mass mind control, social hysteria, criminalizing the idea of protesting, condemning or censoring opinions we don't agree with and modifying the genes of babies in the embryo. This may all sound like a page from a science-fiction novel, but this is our world right now; If we ever needed a time for cooler heads to prevail, this would be it.
