A severe thunderstorm hit Port Macquarie in Australia on February 3 at around 3:00 pm local time, knocking down trees and blowing roofs off buildings.
The storm was reported to have lasted about 15 minutes, with strong winds with rain and hail across much of the city.
Homes and businesses in and around the city's central business district were affected.
Strong gusts of wind tore the roof off an apartment building on Hastings River Drive.
A large tree was also downed along Hayward Street along with power lines.
The storm destroyed the office on the city's marina and damaged the canopy of Port Jet Cruises.
Garbage is scattered on the streets in the city center.
Over 11,000 people lost power.
The State Emergency Service received at least 60 calls for help.
Fortunately, there were no reports of serious injuries.
The thunderstorm was caused by a trough traversing the region and interacting with warm, moist, unstable air.
