St. Joseph’s feast almost always lands in the Lenten Season. One of the reasons for this might be that it symbolizes how he lived by faith and died before seeing the fulfillment of the Old Testament in the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord. He died in Lent (OT times), so to speak, before Easter (NT times) came.
