Meat offered to idols is a phrase you will often hear used by those defending their Christian liberty to partake of things that are worldly and fleshly. They say it doesn't matter if they partake of these activities as long as they believe in their heart it is for the glory of God. Issues like Christmas, music, movies, alcohol, etc. are all said to be like eating meat offered to idols so only a "weak" brother would get offended at a Christian partaking of those things.

The reality is that the passages about meat offered to idols have been twisted and perverted for decades by pastors to justify ungodly behavior not becoming of a Christian. We examine all the passages in the New Testament about meat offered to idols and really get to the bottom of what the Bible teaches on this subject.
