The first Genesis album I listened and love it from the first track to the last one. In my opinion Nursery Cryme is the best Genesis album and that's why I recommend you to buy this album or mp3. Nursery Cryme is a good album... good listening as the songs are very well composed. The instrumental pieces are incredible, especially the first track, The Musical Box, which is my favourite. I like those kind of songs with huge variations and very complex. Really worth to listen and buy this album. I will listen for other Genesis albums and hopefully will recommend you other.

Genesis' "Nursery Cryme" is a 1971 album that marked a turning point in the band's history. It was the first album to feature guitarist Steve Hackett and drummer Phil Collins, and it showcased a new, more experimental sound that would come to define the band's later work.
The album opens with the hauntingly beautiful "The Musical Box," a song that tells a twisted fairy tale of a young girl and her enchanted music box. The song features intricate guitar work from Hackett, and Peter Gabriel's vocals are at their most powerful and emotive.
The album also features a number of other classic Genesis tracks, such as "The Return of the Giant Hogweed" and "The Fountain of Salmacis." These songs showcase the band's signature sound, with complex time signatures and intricate instrumental interplay.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "Harold the Barrel," a darkly humorous song about a man who decides to end his life by jumping off a building. The song features some of Gabriel's most theatrical vocal performances, and the band's playful sense of humor is on full display.
The album closes with the epic "The Knife," a song that builds from a gentle acoustic intro into a bombastic rock and roll climax. The song features some of the album's most powerful instrumental moments, with Collins' thunderous drumming and Tony Banks' keyboard work adding to the sense of drama and intensity.
Overall, "Nursery Cryme" is a classic album that marked a major milestone in Genesis' career. It showcases the band's unique blend of progressive rock, art rock, and theatrical performance, and it remains a beloved and influential album to this day. If you are a fan of classic rock or progressive rock, "Nursery Cryme" is an album that is definitely worth your time.
