On the banks of the Mures River, it was found.
It was supposedly found next to two mastodon bones and 35 feet beneath the sand.
It is formed of an alloy of aluminum covered in a thin layer of oxide and resembles the head of a hammer.
It's peculiar as aluminum wasn't discovered until 1808 and wasn't mass-produced until 1885.
Given that it was discovered in the same strata as mastodon bones, this wedge was most likely formed at least 11,000 years ago.
Since it is impossible that humans could have made such an alloy so many thousands of years ago, many people think that this wedge is proof that aliens have visited Earth.
