Polish Land Forces train on their newly equipped M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks during the M1A2 Abrams Tank Training Academy class at Biedrusko Training Area, Poland, Sept. 7, 2023. Special guest Ms. Sandy Long, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation, was invited to view the class. The Tank Training Academy is a collaboration between the U.S. and Poland after Poland's purchase agreement for 250 U.S. M1A2 System Enhancement Program version 3 Abrams Main Battle Tanks to enhance security within Poland and increase capabilities to operate within the NATO alliance.
