This is the best way (that I've found) to secure your yarn tails. If you knit, crochet or work with yarn frequently you know how hard it can be to make those tails stay in place especially after a number of washes of your project.
Using a felting needle will help to bind the tails to your work and help your project stay securely together.
Items needed:
Yarn
Crochet hook
Yarn needle
Scissors
*Optional*
Felting needle
Felting pad

UpCycle your old fabric scraps or old clothing, turn them into a soft easy to make Rag Rug.
Items needed:
Fabric..lots and lots of Fabric
Tshirts, sweatshirts, pjs,fabric scraps..etc.
Crafting Mesh or Nonstick Rug backing mat
A pair of sharp scissors
(You'll do lots of cutting)
A measuring tape
Your fingers
If making a rug with Multiple colors be sure to CUT ALL STRIPS BEFORE YOU BEGIN TYING!!
Cut your material into 6"×1" strips
Push one side of the fabric strip through the mesh square from underneath the mat then push the other end into a square next to the first one. Pull both sides of the strip evenly through the square and tie it in a knot. Keep filling the mat up until all full... That's it!
Although it's very time consuming it's really easy and lots of fun.
Get the kids involved, it's a great activity for the whole family to get in on.
Have Fun,
