Another cinematic piano piece written, performed, and composed by Jilaine Wheatcroft. Ashley Mckenzie of Tab Graphics is the artist responsible for assembling the concept art. The video itself was edited and animated by Alex Hunt, and I the author of The Ancestral Odyssey (TAO) series, D.W.Gill, took the lead.

Similar to the last video, this track is called The Thief’s Priestess. It’s just a snapshot of a scene that has been lifted directly from Episode One: The Utopian Dream, published back in April of 2016. It’s an important, pivotal scene with so much to say, too much in fact that I wrote about it in detail in article 103 called, One for Another, which can be found in the articles section on my Official Website, links are listed below. So, if you’d like to learn more about the characters, if you’d like to know more about what efforts were made to make this video and the context that surrounds it, please do us a solid and give the article a read through, it would be greatly appreciated. To summarise however, musician Jilaine has once again excelled, she’s beautifully captured the myriad of emotions that are exhibited in the literal source material, she adds emotional weight and a layer of heartfelt notes that perfectly articulates the events that unfold. I could not be more grateful for Jilaine’s contributions, I’m so lucky to have had her input, to learn about her ideas and to hear them playout. Ashley really came through once more; She turned a simple sketch of mine and some written words into what you see, she was able to portray a sense of scale, a sense of relativism and somehow was able to make the night sky and the ripples on the water look real. And last, but by no means least, Alex Hunt took my slides and not only assembled them in a familiar format, but applied his own artistic touches that connects this video with the others, and makes it come alive.

Thank you Jilaine, for writing and producing another brilliant piece of music, a link to her Soundcloud is below. Thank you, Ashley, for working ever so hard on this concept, I realise it is a challenge and is not always straight forward, but I look forward to what we tackle next. And thank you Alex once again for the video edit and the animation effects, as always, very well done, you’re a wizard, keep up the fantastic work.

A stunning piano piece written, performed, and composed by Jilaine Wheatcroft. An incredible digital painting by Ashley Mckenzie. Video edited and animated by Alex Hunt. Imagined by (me) the author of The Ancestral Odyssey (TAO) series, D.W.Gill.

The sen-satiable Jilaine Wheatcroft has written and composed another beautiful piece called, A Path Sewn by Fate. Inspired by scenes that appear in Episode One-The Utopian Dream, published in 2016, Jilaine has been able to marry Isabelle’s character with environment beautifully, resulting in something that speaks to specific moments found in the book, organically evoking a myriad of emotions; A score deserving of high praise and notability. To complement Jilaine’s musical achievement, I worked alongside an incredibly talented digital artist, Ashley Mckenzie, who gave life and wonder to the concept of Master Eran’s Old Library that appears numerous times in the first book. After months of study, Ashley delivered a remarkably close representation of the library, including details that tell their own story and highlight aspects that show in my literature. Alex Hunt came through for me once again at the last minute, editing together my slides and giving light and energy to an otherwise still digital painting. I have written about this creative process in article 99 called, The Masters Library, which is found on my website, link below; Not only do I talk about what it was like to work with those credited, but I offer some insight to readers of the book, emphasising elements of the story that may not have been considered. I feel like fans of this series will find this essay and others like it well worth their time, so please, check them out if you would like to uncover more.

Thank you Jilaine, for writing and producing another remarkable piece of music, link to her Soundcloud is found below. Ashley and I are already discussing what concept to depict for Jilaine’s next track, which is called, The Thief’s Priestess. Thank you Ashley, for working tirelessly to paint not only a vibrant and compelling image, but something authentic to what is in the book. And thank you Alex once again for the video edit and the animation effects, your work is truly appreciated and I hope we get to work together on another film.

A second general theme, a piece of music this time coupled with Episode Two-Rise of The Black Doves, the sequel to Episode One-The Utopian Dream of The Ancestral Odyssey, an epic fantasy book series currently underway. While Ep1 is available for purchase, Ep2 is nearing release having entered the editing stages.

The music was written and performed by Julian Kirk and Alex Adams of Atlas Audio, inspired by the works of D.W.Gill, the author of TAO (The Ancestral Odyssey).

I wish I could produce more content; I wish I could make daily videos that orbit this project, but due to budget constraints and other obligations, production is very slow. I would appreciate a subscription and your support, but if you feel it’s not merited, I thank you anyway for checking out this music video regardless, it really means a lot.

If you, however, would like to stay up to date with this ambitious project, do use the links below to learn more. The official website is currently going through maintenance, I hope it will be up and running soon, I do have a big announcement to make, but the best place to catch me right now is on my Taoteque Articles blog on WordPress, where I have almost 90 essays to read through.

Big shout out to Atlas Audio for writing and making the music and Alex Hunt for assembling the video, you guys are the absolute best and I appreciate everything you do.

If you would like to purchase Ep1-The Utopian Dream or if you know someone who is interested in epic fantasy, it is available on the Amazon Store in all formats with the sequel Ep2-Rise of the Black Doves on the way. Take care of yourselves, I am already looking forward to the next video, hope to see you there.

A beautiful piano piece written and performed by Jilaine Wheatcroft, edited by H Productions Videographer Alex Hunt, filmed, and imagined by author of The Ancestral Odyssey series D.W.Gill.

Collaborating with others, especially with those who share a love for your craft is one of the best aspects of the creation process. The incredibly talented Jilaine Wheatcroft wrote and performed Isabelle’s Theme, which is now available to watch and listen to here. Not only did Jilaine understand the character on a level that challenges my own, but she studied her for months to encapsulate her journey and expressed it through the language of music. Jilaine also shared with me her formula which features in my latest article called The Storytelling Medium, an essay where I cover our engagements, how stories sometimes do not need words and so much more. I feel like it’s an interesting read, at ten pages long it only takes twenty-minutes.

To those who have read Ep1, I hope this truly amazing interpretation drawn and coloured by Will Towns does not spoil your own image. Isabelle is one of my favourites, most cherished and mysterious characters to date. Imagined in 2005 or 06 and written in 2007 she serves as one of our leads through Ep1-Dream, becoming somewhat of a guide to many (the reader included) and a catalyst of rebellion for others, a true heroine through times of turmoil. Her journey is spiritual, one where her faith is challenged, destroyed, and ultimately regrown.

Thank you, artist Will Towns, for sketching and colouring the image, thank you Alex for sewing together the clips and thank you Jilaine for writing such an amazing piece of music. I look forward to working with you all again in the future. And thank you dear viewer for watching and perhaps reading this section, your time here is greatly appreciated. Please consider liking (or disliking if you did not enjoy it) subscribing, sharing, and commenting, my crew and I over at the TAO Platform would greatly appreciate your feedback.

It has been nearly a year since I released my Live-Action Trailer for Ep2 The Ancestral Odyssey: Rise of The Black Doves. I am proud of it and so very thankful to everyone involved. As a mini celebration I decided to cut together the outtakes, you have to learn to laugh at yourself from time to time 😂 - I would love to do this again but even for a low key project like this it cost me a huge amount and took about a years worth of prep once the decision was made. Funding is and always will be the biggest issue for me.

If you would like more information on this project no matter what it might be, please visit my Blog at www.taoscribe.wordpress.com where you will find a number of articles varying in topics. At the bottom of each post you'll be linked to contact info.

If you would like to buy my first book (Ep1) titled The Ancestral Odyssey - The Utopian Dream, you can find it here www.amazon.com/-/e/B01JMZ2BE6 It is available in Kindle, Paperback and Hardback if you prefer but I do highly recommend you pick up a Paperback Edition or a digital copy for your Kindle.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy the vid.

This video is an edit of Duncan Gill (me) building my sound studio. I've formatted my work for Kindle, Paperback and Hardback but to create an Audiobook is a very different thing, especially if you want to do it all yourself, which I plan to do. Hope you enjoy the vid, the setup took about two days, preparation for the Audiobook as a whole took around 4 to 6 months and I've yet to start my first session. For more videos such as interviews, trailers (including a Live-Action trailer), a documentary on this project you can find them here on Bitchute or YouTube. Follow me on Twitter: @MegasTeque, I also write a Blog: https://taoscribe.wordpress.com I cover a multitude of topics from reviews, rants, cultural topics and I share my methods if you're interested. If you decide to purchase my first book, The Ancestral Odyssey: The Utopian Dream, you can from The Amazon Store, my Author Page UK is found here https://www.amazon.co.uk/-/e/B01JMZ2BE6 and the US Author Page is here https://www.amazon.com/-/e/B01JMZ2BE6 Currently I am writing the sequel, I hope to have an update for you soon, thank you for watching/reading and take care.

The Making of Rise: A Year for a Moment - is a documentary edited together by the author of the book series, Duncan Gill (me), which catalogues my experiences making the first visual representation of The Ancestral Odyssey in a Live-Action Trailer. I detail elements of the writing and creative phases, take you behind the scenes and show you how I assembled the cast and crew.

The trailer itself along with other trailers and videos can be found here on YouTube and on Bitchute. My articles of various topics can be read through on my Blog, and my first book of the T.A.O (The Ancestral Odyssey) series can be purchased from The Amazon Store. The trailer cost a little over five thousand pounds to make, I funded the project with the help of my late Grandmothers inheritance. The initial idea to do this was thought up in May 2018, research and production started soon after. Shooting began on the 20th of July and ended on the 23rd of July 2019. Post-production began early August and wrapped up on the 11th of October. I do hope you enjoy my content, I am aware it is not frequent which is why I do not pester anyone for a subscription, but if you do decide to subscribe, I will greatly appreciate it, thank you.

All the music played in this video is listed in order at the end, and does NOT belong to me but the respectable creators. The movie clips come from Director Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings, Sir Ridely Scotts Kingdom of Heaven and HBO's TV show Game of Thrones adapted from the Song of Ice and Fire series written by George R.R. Martin.

My first attempt to bring The Ancestral Odyssey to life through a Live-Action Trailer shot on July 2019, starring Holly Yahanne as Cephie, Chris Schweppe as the Norkron Knight, filmed by James Van Nguyen, directed by the author of the series Duncan Gill and edited by Oliver Richards who also handled the special effects. The trailer depicts a snapshot of a scene in the book called 'The Ancestral Odyssey: Rise of The Black Doves,' and is the sequel to 'The Utopian Dream' released back in 2016. Production cost around five to six thousand pounds, we worked tirelessly and are very proud of what we achieved. 'Rise' should be released in 2020. For more information on the project, please visit https://taoscribe.wordpress.com or consider purchasing 'Dream' https://www.amazon.co.uk/-/e/B01JMZ2BE6

Return to the Odyssey. With the success of Episode One: The Ancestral Odyssey - The Utopian Dream, comes a glimpse of Episode Two - Rise of The Black Doves. For more information on this project, please visit https://taoscribe.wordpress.com I hope you enjoy the trailer and I hope you consider purchasing Episode One which can be found on The Amazon Store.

Author D.W.Gill sits down with psychology student, Will Towns, to talk about his first book; The Ancestral Odyssey, starting with The Utopian Dream. He talks about the creative process, inspirations, and motivations using a variety of examples. This would be the second interview recorded. Enjoy.
