It's only solving the most important assassination of the post-war 20th century - that's all....
Sadly, though this is a largely state funded film from the taxes we have already paid for this film, we are asked to pay again before we are allowed to watch it - well, of course that is immoral and symptomatic of the shutdown of free speech, free access to the truth and to the privatisation of our wonderful planet - a kind of fourth reich.
So it is available here to watch for free
In 1961, United Nations secretary-general Dag Hammarskjöld’s plane mysteriously crashed, killing Hammarskjöld and most of the crew. With the case still unsolved 50-plus years later, Danish journalist, filmmaker, and provocateur Mads Brügger (The Red Chapel, The Ambassador) leads us down an investigative rabbit hole to unearth the truth. Scores of false starts, dead ends, and elusive interviews later, Brügger and his sidekick, Swedish Göran Björkdahl, begin to sniff out something more monumental than anything they’d initially imagined.
In his signature agitprop style, Brügger becomes both filmmaker and subject, challenging the very nature of truth by “performing” the role of truth seeker. As Brügger uncovers a critical secret that could send shockwaves around the world, we realize that sometimes absurdity and irony are the emboldening ingredients needed to confront what’s truly sinister.

UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjold's plane mysteriously and fatally crashed on African soil. As director Mads Brugger looks into the case fifty years later, he uncovers a conspiracy more sinister than anything he'd imagined. This thrilling documentary leads viewers down a wild investigative rabbit hole to unearth the truth behind a dark, secretive chapter in history.
This is an excellent well-researched documentary up to the point where it figures out who most likely killed Hammarskjold but then it veers off into research into the mercenary group involved and goes into a plot to spread AIDS financed by the CIA and/or the British. They seem to have figured out that the plane was shot down & who did it; they don't explain why only Hammarskjold's body was the one not burned to cinders and point out that he was found w/a playing card in his collar, which was supposedly a CIA designation for its victims. The dictation to the secretary typing (why are they using a typewriter instead of a laptop?) was distracting from the main point. The narrator kept dressing like the man he thought ordered the hit, the leader of the mercenary group, & I found that distracting, too. While its going off on a tangent to track down the germ warfare lab, etc., was distracting to me, it was interesting. I was more interested in Hammarskjold, whom I remember vividly, & for whom I was upset when he died, & whose book, "Markings," I have read. I was pleased that someone still cared enough to investigate this. It's not conclusive but found out a lot. This film is well worth watching and if it brings back some interest in this great man, who is not remembered much now and should be, it serves its purpose. Basically, it is a very good film.
