make copies and change the portrait for each frame , then use enemy transform common event command to change to those copies , and then change back to the original neutral enemy , you can do this for each attack the enemy has

if you change a stat , it will only effect that single enemy , however when transforming to and back , all the stats will change back to what the current enemy's stats are , EXCEPT FOR MAX HP/MP , if those get lowered at any point , they will remain at this new lower maximum , which will cause problems for balancing , so make sure you think the hp/mp is right before copy/pasting the enemy a bunch for making animation frames , otherwise you will have to redo that entire process if you ever want to give them more max hp/mp

fortunately the other stats are not effected , and this means that you can save workload when rebalancing by simply pasting the new stats into the enemy frame when the effects of the attack/skill happens

and the way to determine how the tf animation plays out , using visual stella's battle core plugin you can set an auto option that makes skills play the effects of any common events they all on instead of doing the skill's effects

when in the common event , the plugin has a command tab where you can select from 100 options , the important ones being the
"action effect" - which is the moment the common event will do the attack/effects of the skill
"finish action" - which will end the common event so it doesn't loop infinitely
