Momoiro Christmas 2010 in Nihon Seinenkan Dappi Retrospective
This is the first video in my new series where I look at every one of Momoiro Clover Z's Momoiro Christmas release from 2010 until the present! This follows the live commentary I uploaded of this live. This is a look at Momoiro Clover's first Christmas live which took place on December 24, 2010.
Momoiro Christmas 2010 in Nihon Seinenkan Dappi is one of my all-time favorite Momoiro Clover live concerts, and it is also an important one for Momoclo insofar as it is their first ever live concert that saw a DVD/Blu-Ray release. Nihon Seinenkan, at the time, was a venue that had an audience capacity of 1300 people, and despite Momoclo still being a smaller group, only 2 years into their career, they managed to sell out tickets for the venue within minutes of making them available. This was also Momoclo's first ever one-man live, meaning that they were the headlining act. Momoclo's management made the most out of what they could with the limited venue compared to what they have been able to do since then. However, this adds a level of charm to this live which is not seen much anymore, especially in recent Momoclo concerts, including the ones in the-still ongoing Momoiro Christmas series.
This is my look at this concert from a perspective that I think is safe to say is uniquely my own- as someone who has seen this close to 50 times or so since 2014 when I first found it. I attempt to unpack why I enjoy it so much and maybe it will be enough to persuade others to see it as well if they haven't already? Anything's possible, I guess. But in any event, I hope you enjoy the video. I suspect that this will probably be among the shorter ones in the series... and it's still 47 minutes long. Oops.
