This is a classic and still valid. This video documents a genuine real-life survey of Canadians by a US-based firm (Meritz) through a local Quebec firm (Opinion Search), conducted in October and November of 2006 to see if Canadians would accept the annexation of Canada to the USA in a European-Union style merger.
The annexation of Canada to the USA is unconstitutional and illegal. It was made impossible in 1867 when the founders of Canada chose a monarchical constitution for many reasons including flouting the American threat of the day to annex Canada at the end of the American civil war of 1861-65. Canada retained all the military might of the British Empire to defend her against the US threat of annexation, by retaining her cultural heritage of the British crown.
There were open questions in the survey, in which respondents could freely offer their views.
None of the respondents contacted in 2006 had any awareness that annexing Canada to the USA is forbidden, and is high treason.
Therefore, without having to ask the direct question, the survey also is testing Canadian awareness of the constitution, Canadian constitutional literacy, and readiness to fight back to defend their country.
Those carrying out the annexation could thus feel free to proceed. This is my analysis, not the phone room's analysis. I am constitutionally aware, and I could see precisely what was going on. I therefore documented this "market study" to alert other Canadians.
