The intense shelling of civilians in Donetsk is part of Ukraine's ruthless & inhumane military strategy, that has the intent to defer Russia from its optimal military approach. This strategy fails. Russia will not be deferred, simply because too many soldiers will die in an early storm of stronghold Avdiivka, which could endangers the entire operation. The military operation will proceed as scheduled. In the mean time the shelling can and will be reduced by counter-artillery fire.
